Description

An 18th Century Mirror.

The mid 18th century walnut and gilt mirror with a scrolling leaf pediment, over an open spreading flower frieze. The carved gilt wood within and over the walnut frame, with a raised profile moulding following the shape of the original bevelled edge plate, held within flowing leaf gilt slips. The frame flanked by scrolling and rising leaf, flower, and harebell decorated sides, meeting the arcaded lower edge, decorated with an open flower and leaf frieze.

Date circa 1750.
