Very Rare 18th Century Automatic Candle Extinguisher

Description

A rare survivor. This automatic candle extinguisher extinguishers the candle at a pre-determined time.

It fits over the candle at a chosen point below the wick, it is held in place by a clasp and a spike and when the candle burns down to the point the cone releases and drops over the flame and puts it out.

Hand forged out of steel, an amazing piece of 18th century technology.

Candle stick not included.
