A wonderful pair of 19th century swiss "black forest" carving depicting a milkmaid and cowman with their respective cow and bull. In fabulous condition considering their their fineness and age.

The milkmaid is intialled e b with are the intials for e blatter of lucerne, one of switerland,s noted carvers c1870

They measure 13cms l 13cms h and 7cms d.

The detail is fabulous . I hope my pics do them justice.
