UK Antique Dealers are Reaching Thousands of New Customers Every Week...
Reach thousands of new customers every week by joining Sellingantiques.co.uk - and beat the credit crisis by giving your sales a massive boost.
The internet has completely changed the way the antiques business works.
Dealers are no longer confined to selling antiques from shops, fairs and through trade publications - business savvy operators are now turning to the world wide web to reach more customers than ever, especially in these times of credit-crisis.
But it’s not enough simply to have a website. You need to get your antiques in front of the right customers, which means being on page one of Google for antiques-related searches. And there’s only a handful of companies that are able to achieve that.
So how can independent dealers ever hope to compete?
By joining together as part of Sellingantiques.co.uk.
What is sellingantiques.co.uk?
Sellingantiques.co.uk brings together antique dealers and customers in a single, online marketplace. It’s great for customers - because it allows them to search the inventories of over 100 antique dealers all at the same time.
And it’s great for dealers - because with over 2,000 visitors every day, it puts their products in front of more customers than they’ll ever find on the high street.
How does it work?
Sellingantiques.co.uk allows antique dealers from right across the UK to display their stock on a single website. Their antiques are then pored over by the many thousands of visitors from around the world who come to Sellingantiques.co.uk every day.
Once a buyer arrives at the site they can select the categories of antiques they wish to browse, or they can perform a keyword search to find specific items.
Antiques are initially shown as small thumbnail pictures, with 40 antiques displayed on each page. The buyer can then click on each image for further information and larger photos.
When a customers sees an item they like, they simply contact the dealer directly.
How many people visit sellingantiques.co.uk?
Sellingantiques.co.uk is an extremely busy place, and it’s getting busier every day. The footfall is massive, with over 60,000 unique visitors to the website each month.
These 60,000 visitors account for over 3 million individual item views.
The success of Sellingantiques.co.uk means that individual dealers are no longer confined to selling to customers in their region. They can now sell antiques to customers right across the UK and beyond.
75% of visitors are from the UK
15% of visitors are from the USA
10% of visitors are from other countries
Where will I appear on Google?
Placement on search engines is the single most important factor in the success of any website. If your website fails to make it to page 1 of the search engine results, you stand no chance of attracting a good flow visitors.
However, getting a website to page 1 on search engines is a massive undertaking and involves large expenditure. In fact 50% of Sellingantiques.co.uk income is re-invested into search engine optimisation.
Remember, there are only 10 websites listed on page 1 for search engine results. This is why displaying your stock on Sellingantiques.co.uk is the best way to drive large numbers of customers to your website.
How long has sellingantiques.co.uk been in business?
Sellingantiques.co.uk was established in February 2002 and started with just a handful of antiques dealers. It has now built up a large and very active community of dealers and continues to expand on a weekly basis.
Sellingantiques.co.uk and WEADA
In August 2008, The West of England Antique Dealers Association asked Sellingantiques.co.uk to provide their expertise in the re-design and take-over the management of the www.weada.co.uk website.
