2. When a customers makes a search, how is the order of items worked out?
More recent additions are shown first. Items that have been on the site for some time go to the back of the listings. This gives the site a fresh and up-to-date feel.
3. Do we get a direct link to our web site?
Yes, you get a direct link to your website. If you do not have a website, you can tell your customers to view your stock on Sellingantiques.co.uk.
4. How many antiques can I upload?
You can upload as many antiques as you want. You can display up to 5 photos with each antique you upload.
5. Do you supply websites to antique dealers?
Yes, we provide websites to antique dealers. The websites we design are very easy to use, and many dealers already use websites provided by us. Contact us if you are interested.
6. I want to send you an email - how long do you take to reply?
We respond to 95% of emails within the hour. As we do not offer telephone support we know how important it is that you receive a reply from us very quickly.
7. Do I have to show my address?
You do not have to show your address. For security reasons, some antique dealers prefer to show just an email address or telephone number. This is entirely acceptable and should not adversely affect your sales.
8. Can I upload a cheaper priced antique e.g. £50?
Usually, only antiques priced over £100 will appear on the main category pages. This helps to maintain a good standard of antiques on display. However, some categories e.g. ceramics, have a lower threshold, and items under £100 are also shown.
9. Can I sell antiques for other people?
Your membership only allows you to display antiques that you are selling. We have special arrangements with some leading antique centres who are permitted to display antiques for third parties. If you wish to display antiques for other people then please contact us to discuss your requirements.
10. After I upload a new antique is it shown instantly on Sellingantiques?
Each antique that is displayed on Sellingantiques.co.uk is individually categorised by a human being. This means there may be a short delay between your uploading an antique and its appearance on the website.
11. Why do you show Google adverts on the site?
Google adverts shown on the site generate additional revenue for Sellingantiques.co.uk. This revenue is 100% re-invested in online advertising.
Terms and conditions of membership
1. There is no contract to sign, though you must give 1 month’s notice if you wish to cancel your membership
2. Items displayed must be antiques (no later than 1920's)
3. You should endeavour to keep your stock current and up-to-date
4. Dealers should be located or have a base in the UK
5. Antique photos should be good quality
6. You cannot display antiques for third parties - you must be the seller of the items you upload
7. If you are an antiques centre, you will need special permission to advertise on Sellingantiques.co.uk
How much does it cost to become a member of Sellingantiques.co.uk?
To join Sellingantiques.co.uk you pay an initial setup fee plus a fixed monthly fee to display your antiques. We do not charge commission on sales as all transactions are carried out directly between you and the buyer.

Monthly Fee = £49.00
First payment is for setup fee + first month fee = £99
There is no minimum term contract - you can cancel your membership anytime you wish simply by giving 1 month’s notice
