Description:
If you are looking for these you have just got very lucky!- So have I because they are not easy to place. Two sideboards- by repute apparently from a Naval base in Plymouth, perhaps a round castle. Anyway they are good looking bow fronted sidboards from about 1800, but the backs are also bowed to fit into a curved bay. I have taken an image from the top to show you the shape.
The figure on the fronts is good as are the inlaid satinwood panels. The central arch is also a deep drawer.
They do need some restoration having been in a private home in Bournemouth for many years, but if you have the space for them it would be well worth it |
