Description:

A stunning late Victorian Jewellery box dating to the late Victorian age, covered in rich chocolate brown Crocodile skin, all totally original with the original handle (this is in perfect shape but being 120 years old should be used with caution).

This luxurious box is further enhanced with all around solid brass trim and edging with top-quality brass hinges, a lock and a vacant plaque to the lid which could be engraved by your silversmith should you desire to personalize it.

The lock is in full working order, and the brass escutcheon to the front is moved to the right to open the box, the box comes with a working taselled key. All of these brass fittings have been professionally re-polished to gleam.

The interior is all totally original too, with two removable trays lined in blue silk and velvet.

An absolute gem in excellent condition perfect for either a lady or gentleman, measuring 11 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 4 1/2" tall.
