The piece has a rectangular moulded top with rounded corners and a black faux leather writing insert above three mahogany lined frieze drawers with original turned knobs. The piece stands on four beautifully turned tulip legs, is a warm medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. The piece has a raised shaped back above a moulded top with an inverted bow front, flamed mahogany banding and intricate inlay. The central drawer is shaped above a knee hole and is flanked by two mahogany lined drawers. All the drawers have original brass handles, are mahogany lined and have intricate inlay around the edges.
