Victorian Mahogany Writing Table / Desk ca 1860 This beautiful antique Victorian mahogany writing table / desk has an original makers stamp ‘Jones, Moss & Co-late Edwards & Sons’. The piece has a rectangular moulded top with rounded corners and a black faux leather writing insert above three mahogany lined frieze drawers with original turned knobs. The piece stands on four beautifully turned tulip legs, is a warm medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Victorian Mahogany Writing Table / Desk ca 1890 This beautiful Victorian antique mahogany writing table / desk has been constructed by the renowned makers Marsh, Jones, Cribb & Co. The piece has a raised shaped back above a moulded top with an inverted bow front, flamed mahogany banding and intricate inlay. The central drawer is shaped above a knee hole and is flanked by two mahogany lined drawers. All the drawers have original brass handles, are mahogany lined and have intricate inlay around the edges. The piece stands on six tapering legs with spade feet and original brass castors, is a warm medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good original condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
