This beautiful antique Victorian mahogany writing table / desk has an original makers stamp ‘Jones, Moss & Co-late Edwards & Sons’. The piece has a rectangular moulded top with rounded corners and a black faux leather writing insert above three mahogany lined frieze drawers with original turned knobs. The piece stands on four beautifully turned tulip legs, is a warm medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

| Victorian Burr walnut davenport / writing desk ca 1870.
This striking antique Victorian Burr walnut davenport / writing desk has a beautifully shaped writing compartment that sits perfectly at the rear of the desk and has several letter compartments and pen holder. The compartments are made from fine yet sturdy pieces of wood. This delightful piece has a lift up lid with brass hinges and beautiful bevelled edging around the top. The writing slope has a faux black leather writing surface and the interior has pigeon holes, faux drawers with petite knobs. The piece is serpentine fronted, has two beautifully scrolled uprights, has four graduating mahogany lined drawers with neat turned knobs at either side. The piece stands on turned bun feet with casters and is a golden walnut colour with striking grain, good patina, and is in good condition, which has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

| A good quality George III period mahogany bureau circa 1790. Dimensions : Width 44"/112cm , Height 42"/107cm , Depth21"/53cm . In good condition this bureau has a cross banded fall with flame figured mahogany fall front with original working lock and key. It has a good fitted interior with baise writing surface. The four long drawers are completely oak lined and have beaded edges with the original brass swan neck handles . The column corners are embellished with satinwood inlaid arrow motifs .The bureau stands on the original bracket feet . Viewing welcome . Delivery available . |

| This is a very interesting writing slope, being hand made with ornate carving. The hinged lid lifts exposing the spacious interior which could be used for storing writing materials or books. The interior has a black faux leather writing insert and the fitted interior is stepped with several pigeon holes, letter racks, drawers and a central cupboard. The lower section has four oak lined cock beaded drawers with replacement brass handles and key escutcheons. The piece stands on beautiful shaped bracket feet, is a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
