With drawer under, and standing on bun feet.
Interiors of box and drawer are lined with baize.
Striking flame pattern to the mahogany, and boxwood banding all around.
Wonderful colour and patina.
Size-10.75 inches by 8.75 inches by 5.1 inches high.
In very good condition, this is a really lovely, decorative and unusual box, which would make an excellent jewellery or collectables box, or desk tidy.

This beautiful antique William IV flamed mahogany work box has a rectangular lift up lid and the interior has several compartments, a removable tray and pin cushion. The piece has a deep frieze, pull out work basket with a blue paper lining and has been recently covered in a rich dark green damask fabric. The piece stands on an octagonal pedestal with a quadriform base, beautiful turned feet, is a rich dark mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

| Victorian Mahogany Games Table / Work Box ca 1880
This beautiful Victorian mahogany games table / work box has a serpentine front and chequered top in assorted inlays. The piece has a frieze drawer above a pull out work box (this would have been covered in fabric), beautiful fretwork carved supports, shaped sides and stands on four scrolled legs. The piece has some old veneer repairs, is a rich dark mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Georgian Mahogany Blanket Box with Drawer |
| Large Georgian mahogany blanket box with one long drawer in the base. Constructed from solid mahogany throughout with a pine lined drawer, the box retains its original finish and has excellent patination from years of use. No loose joints, the top sits nice and flat when closed and no significant damage anywhere on this item. The feet are later replacements but you can't tell whithout getting down on your hands and knees! The drawer runs smoothly and has genuine Georgian brass handles but not the originals. Theres a working key for the drawer but not for the top although the original lock is present and intact. Price £250.00 reasonable offers considered - telephone us on 01454 228800 9am to 9pm. The pretty slender inlaid splayed legs and delicate stretcher support the attractive oval mahogany top with boxwood chequered inlay to its exterior and central inlaid motif. A lovely item in showroom condition..price to include the re-covering of the box.
