fine royal worcester figure, standing 340mm at highest, on round base with 3 feet, , top sconce applied with glue, and base bolted, as original, very good condition , no wear or repair.

STUNNING pair of Royal Worcester figures of 'Joy' & 'Sorrow'

A STUNNING pair of Royal Worcester figures dated 1954 of 'Joy' and 'Sorrow' after the original models by James Hadley, the maidens standing in long brightly-gilded robes, their naked bodies in pale matt ivory, the birds and bases in blush ivory and gold, 25.5cm and 26.5cm high. BOTH IN SUPERB CONDITION. Both fully marked with the Royal Worcester factory marks in black to the undersides of the bases, and shape number 2/57.
