A VERY RARE miniature Caughley meat dish, C.1770. |
| Yes, believe it or not, at only 2 3/4ins across, this is a miniature meat dish. It would have been part of a dinner service. PERFECT CONDITION. Also, fully marked with the 'S' mark for Salopian at Caughley.
True miniatures, as opposed to just small pieces, are VERY RARE, and highly collected.
Please note the Caughley pickledish for sale also. Perfect condition. £290. |
SUPERB Royal Worcester JOHN STINTON dish dated 1912 |
| A SUPERB Royal Worcester JOHN STINTON dish dated exactly 1912, and EXCELLENTLY painted (see photos) with lovely highland cattle resting near a river in a misty landscape that John Stinton is so famous for. The painting is so beautiful. The scene is BEAUTIFULLY framed by the Royal blue border and extremely fine gilded flowers. It is signed in full by John Stinton at the bottom of the scene. The plate measures 9 1/2 inches by 9 1/2ins, and is also fairly deep.
THE PLATE IS IN PERFECT CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR RESTORATIONS AND NO CRAZING AT ALL. THE GILDING IS ALSO IN 100% PERFECT CONDITION WITH NOT EVEN THE SLIGHTEST SCRATCH OR WEAR.

An IMPORTANT Worcester Blind Earle dish, C.1768 |
| An IMPORTANT Worcester Blind Earle dish, C.1768. Decorated in the Japanese manner, with a Starburst pattern. This pattern and shape dish is highly sought after. Also, this piece comes from the SUPERB ZORENSKY COLLECTION(label to rear). Remarkably, it has remained in PERFECT CONDITION. |
IMPORTANT Worcester leafdish, C.1756/60 |
| An IMPORTANT Worcester leafdish, C.1756/60. These Hancock prints copy Chelsea, and before that Meissen. A simmilar very rare dish like this was sold by Bonhams London 21/2/2001 from the fine Norman Stretton collection. See also Zorrensky collection of Worcester, Bonhams lot no. 247, 23/2/2005, estimated at £600-£800, plus the 20% buyers premium.
My dish is also in SUPERB CONDITION, with no chips, cracks or hairlines. I think the dish might have been hung on a wall plate rack, as there appears to be a tiny tiny filled hole in the centre. |
5 LOVELY Royal Worcester dishes by TOM LOCKYER signed |
| 5 LOVELY Royal Worcester dishes by TOM LOCKYER signed. I do have another 6 of these lovely dishes, and all 11 are in EXCELLENT condition, with no chips, cracks or restorations. The gilding is much more rich than my photos show, as it kept getting whited out in the photos. All pieces are fully marked to the backs with the early puce Royal Worcester stamp, and date code for 1931. |
2 nice Worcester dishes, C.1770. |
| 2 LOVELY condition Worcester dishes, C.1770. The larger one very nicely decorated to the rear in the Chinese manner. Both with Worcester hatched crescents marks. The smaller with a surface/glaze crack to the back which has got stained, and does not detract from the beauty of the piece. |
