Tessiers Silver Wine Coasters 1927

This stunning pair of solid silver wine coasters was manufactured and retailed by the highly prestsigious silversmiths Tessiers, who for many years held pride of place in New Bond Street, London. The coasters measure 10.5cm in diameter, and together weigh a very substantial 239 grams, which is in excess of 7.5 troy ounces. The hallmarks on the underside of the coasters are crisp and clear, being the maker's mark, date letter for 1927, the silver standard mark, and the leopard's head for London. In addition they are clearly stamped 'Tessiers Ltd. London'. They are in excellent condition, without any engraving, erasures, dents or dings, just a few small surface scratches commensurate with age. In more than forty years buying and selling quality silver I have never encountered a more substantial pair of silver wine coasters. These items will be despatched carefully packed and fully insured.
