The table is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Magnificent William IV Flame Mahogany Tilt Top Centre Table

A magnificent William IV mahogany round tilt top centre table. The top is veneered in flame mahogany and segmented in such a way that shows the pattern in superb style. It is supported by an octagonal central pillar which stands on a round base, which in turn sits on three lion paw feet. There is some splitting to the veneer on the round base which can be seen in the accompanying images (please double click the main photograph), however this is in keeping with the age of the table and does not detract from the overall beauty of the table. The interior has a green baize insert. The frieze has three beautifully turned motifs and the piece stands on an octagonal pedestal with quadriform base and has beautiful turned feet with brass castors. The top is a little marked due to age and use, the piece is a rich medium rosewood colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
