William IV Flamed Mahogany Chiffonier / Sideboard ca 1835 This beautiful William IV flamed mahogany chiffonier / sideboard has beautiful scrolled swan side supports, a raised back with upper shelf and later raised edge. The piece has a rectangular top above a mahogany lined frieze drawer with small brass handles above two cupboard doors with arched flamed mahogany central panels, key and working lock. The corners have plain corbels and the piece stands on an inverted breakfront plinth with turned bun foot. The piece has a few old veneer repairs, the interior has one removable shelf and the backboards are original. The piece is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
