Set of Eight Edwardian Mahogany Dining Chairs ca 1900  

Set of Eight Edwardian Mahogany Dining Chairs ca 1900 This beautiful antique set of eight Edwardian mahogany Hepplewhite style chairs consists of two carvers and six dining chairs. Each chair has a curved, moulded back with splayed back splats, stands on splayed back legs, have tapering front legs and H stretcher for added stability. The chairs have been later upholstered in blue fabric, are a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. A set of five Georgian mahogany hoop-back dining chairs in the Hepplewhite style, traditionally upholstered stuff-over seats in an attractive hard-wearing fabric. Serpentine fronts with side and cross stretchers.

Fluted 3-piece silver coffee set  

This is an extremely elegant good quality individual coffee set by the very good makers Goldsmiths and Silversmiths. It is of solid silver and hallmarked 1918. The set comprises a coffee pot, milk jug and sugar bowl. They are in an extremely attractive fluted design. The coffee pot has a scrolled wooden handle and silver and wooden finial, the cream jug has a scrolled silver handle. The milk and sugar have lightly gilt interiors. Each piece has a small engraved star crest, possibly a crest for a hotel or shipping line. It could be for the White Star Line, but I don’t know. Condition: Excellent. No dents nicks splits or repairs and no scratching. Dimensions: The coffee pot is 6” (15 cm) tall and 3” (7cm) in diameter at the base. The cream jug is 2 ½” (6.5 cm) tall and 2 ½” (6 cm) in diameter at the base. The sugar bowl is 1 ¾” (4.5 cm) tall and 2 ¼” (5.5 cm) diameter at the base. The interiors of all three pieces are perfectly clean. Each chair has a shaped back with wheat sheaf carving on a splayed carved back splat. The chairs have splayed back legs, tapering front legs with spade feet and H stretcher for added stability. The chairs are upholstered in brown leatherette (slightly shaded), are a warm medium walnut / mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. George III mahogany bookcase cabinet c.1790  

A good quality 18th century mahogany bookcase cabinet of excellent colour; the upper part with a moulded cornice above a pair of astragal glazed doors encosing three adjustable shelves. The lower part, enclosed by a pair of crossbanded inlaid panelled doors, contains drawers, shelves and a storage compartment. SIZE: 80.5 inches tall, 50 inches wide, 21 inches deep.
