Good Watercolour Landscape by E H Marten 1880 |
| Good watercolour Landscape Entitled 'The Arum at Stoke' by listed Artist E.H. Marten. He was a well known painter who lived at Harwick Scotland and exhibited at the Royal Academy and Dudley Gallery from 1886.
The watercolour is clearly painted by a competent hand and depicts a rural landscape with a country cottage bordered by trees and a stream in the foreground. The watercolour is signed E.H. Marten in the bottom right hand corner.
The condition of the watercolour is excellent with no tears, marks or foxing blemishes to the paper. The watercolour is mounted with what appears to be the original mercury gilded mitred slips and the original mercury gilded gilt gesso swept frame which is also in excellent condition with no damage to the gesso mouldings.

| This is a charming small watercolour of an idyllic rural landscape, signed by the artist E W Taylor and dated 1920.The watercolour is entitled WITLEY, Surrey, which could be the village or the name of the farmhouse itself.
The watercolour is very well painted and depicts the lovely old farmhouse in great detail within its rural setting with children playing in front and chickens roaming around.
The watercolour is in excellent original condition with no foxing blemishes, marks, tears or other damage. The original decorative gilt frame with anthemion mouldings is also in excellent condition.
Overall size of the watercolour is 10 inches wide by 7 inches high with the frame being 16 inches wide by 12.5 inches high.

| This is an attractive watercolour landscape of a rural scene with a boy and a dog on a bridge, over a stream with swans in foreground and the village in the background. The watercolour is mounted on cream card with gold and pale green wash-lines.
The attractive moulded gilt frame is in excellent original condition. The watercolour is signed D. Lea and dated 1923.
Condition of the watercolour is excellent with no marks, tears to the paper or foxing blemishes. The watercolour is ready to hang on the wall and enjoy.
