Edwardian Washstand with Marble Top & Large Mirror

A very good quality large Edwardian washstand with marble top, bevelled mirror to the back with cornice over, having 2 drawers over 2 cupboards, a metal towel rail to the left and brass round pull handles. This is a substantial piece of furniture extremely useful in a large bathroom, hallway or even the kitchen or dining room.

Gillows 19th Century Mahogany Marble Topped Washstand

This is a fine quality piece of furniture made by Gillows & Co in the late 19th Century, and consequently the workmanship is to an exceptionally high standard. It is a mahogany washstand with two drawers under a marble top which is galleried around three sides. There is a repair to the marble on the right hand side gallery which can be seen in the accompanying photographs. It stands on turned legs with brass castors. The Gillows & Co stamp can be seen on the top of the right hand drawer front and bears the number 2023, also visible in the accompanying photographs.

This sits on top of a lovely inlaid base consisting of a cupboard door with inlaid urn and ribbon swag garland, above which are 2 drawers with inlaid garland decoration and pretty brass handles. To the sides are brass towel rails which are highly buffed and especially useful. The whole surmounted on slender inlaid tapering legs and original brass bucket casters. 19thC Victorian elegant and unusual solid mahogany dressing table/washstand.

19th century Victorian very elegant solid mahogany dressing table/washstand with unusual outsweeping scrolled gallery, and arched back. Two drawers provide excellent storage, and the whole stands on beautifully turned legs and central stretcher. The colour is lovely, and the table has been given a hand waxed finish. In very good original antique condition.

C1800 unusual George III Scottish round mahogany washstand.

C1800 George III period Scottish round solid skillfully crafted mahogany washstand, the open turned round top frame supported by three hand forged cast iron struts, over a beautifully shaped serpentine shelf section with drawer. This top section is supported by three lovely turned columns, while the whole stands on three cabriole legs on tapered pad feet, with a shaped apron above, with shelf. Originally used as a washstand, this can show off a lovely wash set, will make an excellent plant stand, or will beautifully present a bowl of your favorite decorative accessories. Size-30.5 inches high by 10.5 inches diameter internal tapering top, 12.5 inches external round top, by 21.5 inches at widest point of base. With original colour and patina, an unusual washstand in very good condition.
