Early Victorian Walnut Games Table/Work Box Veneered in figured walnut this Victorian work box comprises of rotating hinge top with a chess backgammon and cribbage board inlaid into it, below is a card and counters drawer, below this is a sliding drop well box for sewing upholstered in cream damask, the whole supported on petite well defined carved lion paw feet with brass casters. Victorian Burr Walnut Biedermier Work Box ca 1860 This beautiful antique Victorian burr walnut biedermeir work box has a quarter veneer, serpentine moulded top and the interior has two replacement lift out trays above a storage compartment. The piece is an unusual curved shape and stands on four elegant tapering cabriole legs. The piece is a golden walnut colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
