Victorian Burr Walnut Biedermier Work Box ca 1860 This beautiful antique Victorian burr walnut biedermeir work box has a quarter veneer, serpentine moulded top and the interior has two replacement lift out trays above a storage compartment. The piece is an unusual curved shape and stands on four elegant tapering cabriole legs. The piece is a golden walnut colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Victorian Walnut Games / Work Box ca 1840 This beautiful Victorian walnut games / work box has an octagonal moulded top with central inlaid chequered top. The lid lifts, the interior has a removable sectioned tray (part lined with dark blue velvet) and a lower storage compartment. The piece stands on an octagonal tapering base with a turned pedestal, tripod splayed legs, is a warm medium walnut colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
