The top is quarter veneered in burr/figured walnut with mahogany cross banding and feathered line inlay and stands on four elegant cabriole supports with carved shoulders and pad feet. It is of superb quality, dates to about 1930 and is in excellent showroom condition having been cleaned and sympathetically repolished whilst retaining its original character. Huge Victorian Walnut Extending Dining Table ca 1860
This magnificent Victorian walnut extending wind out dining table has four additional central leaves. The top has a moulded edge with rounded corners above five beautifully turned reeded legs with chunky brass castors. The piece has its original winding mechanism, is a warm red walnut colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition, has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing and would easily seat 14-16 people.
