By the third generation (Thomas II and George Seddon III) they were handling, with Nicholas Morel, a major commission to refurnish Windsor Castle to a value of £200,000, and were awarded a Royal Warrant in 1832. In 1853 the remaining partner Thomas II moved from Grays In Road to 67 New Bond Street, until his demise in 1868. Their signature "stiff lotus" carving on the columns is noted throughout the period from c.1820 |
