Victorian Lion Paw Wind Out Dining Table ca 1890 This beautiful antique Victorian lion paw wind out mahogany dining table is of stunning quality and has its original Joseph Fitter wind out mechanism and winding handle. The top has two additional, removable leaves and when not extended is a circular shape. The top has a moulded carved edge above dentil moulding, a deep frieze and stands on four beautiful cabriole legs with scrolled tops and intricately carved lion paw feet with brass castors. The piece will seat 10 – 12 people, is a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good original condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. VICTORIAN OAK WIND OUT TABLE STANDING ON TURNED AND REEDED LEGS TOGETHER WITH THE ORIGINAL CASTERS. THE TABLE HAS THREE LEAVES 18", 15", 16",WHICH GIVES YOU VARYING LENGTHS OPENING TO TOTAL LENGTH 119". THE TABLE OPERATES WITH A WIND OUT MECHANISM WHICH IS IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER. Circa 1890 solid walnut (not veneered) windout dining table on fluted turned legs with original castors, and which seats 10 comfortably. Two original leaves and original winding handle are included. The table is 42 inches wide by 55 inches long in closed position, extending to 82 inches with leaves. 29 inches high Colour, patination and condition are excellent.
