Victorian Burr walnut wardrobe / armoire ca 1860 This is a stunning Victorian Burr walnut wardrobe / armoire. The piece has a moulded cornice above a deep frieze and has a large full length mirrored door. The interior has four mahogany lined sliding linen trays above two over two graduating mahogany lined drawers with brass swan neck handles. The piece stands on a moulded plinth, has original backboards and the corners are rounded. It is a rich warm walnut colour and has a striking grain, good patina, is in good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Victorian Walnut Triple Wardrobe ca 1890 This beautiful Victorian Arts & Crafts walnut triple wardrobe is by the renowned maker Shepland and Petter. The piece has turned finials above an unusual arched cornice above a central arched mirror with slight foxing and flanked by two arched panelled doors with a simple floral inlay. The piece has its original hinges, handles, key and working locks. The two outer interiors have original brass hooks and a later hanging rail and the central interior has four walnut lined sliding linen trays above three graduating drawers with original brass swan neck handles. The piece splits into four sections for ease of removals, is a warm medium walnut colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good original condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
