The piece stands on a moulded plinth, has original backboards, is a warm, rich, red walnut colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Victorian WALNUT library bookcase.C1890. This splits into two parts, the top has three adjustable shelves behind the doors which retain the original glass. The bottom section has two drawers above two fielded panel doors with fixed shelf behind. The bookcase has been completely repolished to a warm brown colour. 48" wide x 19" deep x 86" high.
