Late Victorian Armchair 1880-1900

A comfortable late Victorian open armchair dating from 1880-1900. The chair has been professionally re-upholstered in a heavy red damask type fabric. There is no wear to the fabric, and it is in good clean condition. The chair frame is of walnut with turned legs, bobbin turned spindles to the arms and acanthus carving to the base of the arms. There is no worm, damage or repairs to the wood, and the front legs are on brown ceramic casters. The chair measures 34.5" high to the back, 14.5" high to the seat, and the seat is 22" from back to front and 21" wide. It in excellent condition, and a very comfortabl;e chair.

Circa 1860 wonderful Victorian carved walnut upholstered open armchair in very good condition.

Circa 1860 Victorian carved walnut open upholstered arm chair with lovely curved, shaped, and unusual pierced back, and scroll and leaf carved arms. The deep sprung serpentine seat stands over cabriole legs with brass castors. Upholstered in attractive neutral pattern to go with any decor. Very comfortable and with good proportions. Size- 26.5 inches wide by 25 inches deep (seat) by 43 inches high. If back is put flat against wall, with the projection, it is approximately 32 inches deep to middle of seat. A great chair for any room, with lovely colour and patina, in very good condition.
