It was found as seen and only received a thorough clean and polish.

This beautiful antique Victorian Arts & Craft oak sofa is stamped by the renowned maker Gillows of Lancaster. The piece has a padded, upholstered back with a beautiful turned gallery and reeded sides. The piece has an upholstered seat, splayed back legs, beautiful turned front legs with cope & Collinson white porcelain castors. The piece has been newly upholstered in a neutral striped fabric with a self fabric piped trim, is a warm medium oak colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

It sports overstuffed arms and bolster cushions with reversible squab, all we believe retaining the original horsehair stuffing. A magnificent sofa which would add grace to any home. |
Beautiful Victorian Drop End Sofa |
| This is a beautiful Victorian three seater sofa with a drop end. It has an iron frame which makes it very heavy, but this also means that it is very strong and solid. To the right hand side is a wooden knob which is pushed in to enable the end to drop down and this mechanism is in good working order. The sofa is button backed and was re-upholstered some years ago in a pale blue material with small white flowers, retaining we believe the original horsehair stuffing. There are some very pale marks on the upholstery, however we have had it professionally cleaned and these are barely noticeable.

| A recently re-upholstered & restored late Victorian Sofa in the Regency-style. The legs are Mahogany with Ball & Claw Feet.
The upholstery is in a Broad Stripe Damask in a Coral shade with four Feather-filled cushions in a matching flower damask material.
