Set of Six Victorian Rosewood dining chairs ca 1860 This striking set of six Victorian rosewood dining chairs have beautiful scrolled carved backs, stand on splayed back legs and have beautifully turned front legs with tulip leaf carvings. The chairs have elegant serpentine fronts and have recently been upholstered in a soft blue velvet. The chairs are a rich dark rosewood colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Circa 1850, a Superb Set of 4 Mid 19th Century Balloon Back Dining Chairs in solid rosewood, now mellowed to a lovely honey colour. They comprise of serpentine front over stuff seats with beautiful carved backs to the head and splats featuring scrolling carvings. the whole raised on fine quality cabriole supports, currently in duck egg blue but waiting to be re-covered (included in the price) £1495 (Ref UPH03)
