Large Victorian Oak Partners Desk ca 1880 This beautiful large antique Victorian oak partners desk has been constructed and stamped by Simpolls of Manchester. The piece has a rectangular moulded top with a burgundy tooled leather writing insert above a central oak lined drawer and a large knee hole. Both sides of the piece have matching twin pedestals, the right having four graduating oak lined drawers and the left has one oak lined drawer above a cupboard door with a raised fielded panel. Both sides of the pedestals have three raised fielded panels and the piece stands on a plain plinth, splits into three sections for ease of removals, is a warm light / medium oak colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
