The top is figured brown oak, veneered on mahogany with cross grain mouldings which is a top quality method of construction. It has been restored by ourselves and polished to a beautiful warm colour. 125" x 55". £5800. This matches our set of chairs stock no.CH5206 very well. Stock No DT5205

VICTORIAN OAK CARVED TABLE AND SIX OAK CHAIRS. THE TABLE STANDS ON HEAVY TURNED LEGS TERMINATING ON CASTERS. THERE IS ALSO GADROONED CARVING ALL THE WAY AROUND THE EDGE OF THE TABLE. THIS IS SOLID OAK AND IT IS IN SUPER CONDITION. THE SIZE IS APPROX 66"X47".THE CHAIRS ARE OAK FRAMED IN THE 17TH CENTURY STYLE BUT THEY ARE 19TH CENTURY. THE FRONT LEGS BEING TURNED, THERE ARE TWO STRETCHERS TO EACH SIDE TOGETHER WITH A BACK STRETCHER, THEY ALSO HAVE A BOBBIN FRONT STRETCHER. ALL JOINTS ARE SOUND. THEY HAVE BEEN NEWLY UPHOLSTERED IN A RICH BROWN AND CREAM STRIPED VELOUR TYPE OF FABRIC.

The top has rounded corners and bevelled edges and the piece stands on four chunky turned legs with original brass and porcelain castors. The top has been beautifully French polished; the piece is a beautiful golden oak colour with a striking grain and is in good condition. The top has moulded edges, rounded corners and walnut cross banding. The piece stands on four chunky cabriole legs with castors, is a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Large Antique Oak Dining Table Description Offered for sale is this superb quality very large Victorian oak telescopic extending dining table that will seat 18 - 20 people. The table extends from 71" x 59" to 187" x 59" with six leaves, all original. The six leaves range in size from 18" to 20.3" making the table extremely versatile, the leaves can be stored in a separate leaf cabinet. The shaped top has a figured grain with a double lipped moulded edge with rounded ends and stands on turned, carved and fluted supports with original brass castors and ceramic castors. The extending mechanism has double runners, works very well , is very stable and comes complete with original handle, there is a fifth leg which screws in under the centre of the table but the design and quality of the table means that it is very stable even without the leg fitted. This good quality large antique Victorian oak extending dining table dates to about 1860 and is in excellent showroom condition having been cleaned and sympathetically repolished whilst retaining its original character.
