The top has rounded corners and bevelled edges and the piece stands on four chunky turned legs with original brass and porcelain castors. The top has been beautifully French polished; the piece is a beautiful golden oak colour with a striking grain and is in good condition. Large Antique Oak Dining Table Description Offered for sale is this superb quality very large Victorian oak telescopic extending dining table that will seat 18 - 20 people. The table extends from 71" x 59" to 187" x 59" with six leaves, all original. The six leaves range in size from 18" to 20.3" making the table extremely versatile, the leaves can be stored in a separate leaf cabinet. The shaped top has a figured grain with a double lipped moulded edge with rounded ends and stands on turned, carved and fluted supports with original brass castors and ceramic castors. The extending mechanism has double runners, works very well , is very stable and comes complete with original handle, there is a fifth leg which screws in under the centre of the table but the design and quality of the table means that it is very stable even without the leg fitted. This good quality large antique Victorian oak extending dining table dates to about 1860 and is in excellent showroom condition having been cleaned and sympathetically repolished whilst retaining its original character.

The rectangular top has a moulded edge with rounded corners above bobbin turned supports with brass and ceramic castors. The extending mechanism is the standard Joseph Fitter patented system and works very smoothly and comes complete with original handle. The table has been cleaned and sympathetically repolished whilst retaining its original character. It is in excellent showroom condition and dates to about 1900..
