A set of 8 victorian oak dining chairs, re-upholstered with stuff over leather seats and backs, finished with antique brass studs. The woodwork has the original polish.

Pair of Victorian oak hall chairs ca 1840 This beautiful pair of Victorian oak hall chairs have shaped backs with scrolled shell shaped carving, the seats are solid oak with moulded edges and the chairs stand on splayed back legs and have beautifully turned front legs. They are a warm medium oak colour a striking grain, good patina, and are in good condition, which have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. All the chairs have curved carved backs, stand on tapering back legs and have beautiful turned reeded front legs with original brass and brown porcelain castors. The chairs have a moulded edges to the front and side the legs are all joined by a moulded H stretcher. The chairs are a light/medium oak colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in good original condition.
