VICTORIAN BUTTON BACK MAHOGANY NURSING CHAIR. THIS CHAIR STANDS ON TURNED FRONT LEGS AND OUTSWEPT BACK LEGS WITH THE ORIGINAL BRASS CASTERS. THIS HAS BEEN NEWLY UPHOLSTERED IN A CHENILLLE TYPE OF FABRIC IN A SOFT BEIGE WITH A HINT OF BROWN AND STUDDED FROM THE ARMS AROUND THE BACK. THE SIZE IS APPROX 22"WIDE, 25"DEEP,36"HIGH.

Victorian Walnut Upholstered Nursing Chair ca 1880 This beautiful Victorian walnut upholstered nursing chair has a scrolled back with a beautiful turned gallery and moulded edges. The chair stands on splayed back legs and beautiful turned reeded front legs with their original black porcelain castors. The chair has been newly upholstered in neutral rust coloured velvet with matching braid trim. The piece is a rich warm walnut colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
