Victorian Mahogany Open Bookcase ca 1860
This beautiful quality antique Victorian mahogany open bookcase has a rectangular top above a deep frieze and three adjustable shelves with moulded edges. The piece stands on a plain plinth and is constructed from beautifully figured mahogany. The backboards are original, the piece is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
