They are a warm medium oak colour a striking grain, good patina, and are in good condition, which have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Pair of Victorian Mahogany Hall Chairs ca 1890 This beautiful pair of antique late Victorian mahogany hall chairs have a swan neck pediment above a central panel with moulded edges and four turned bobbins below. The seats are solid mahogany with canted corners above a deep frieze and a reeded edge. The back legs are splayed and the front legs are beautifully turned. The chairs have been constructed from a good quality mahogany, are a light golden mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in good condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Victorian Carved Hall Chair

This is a pretty and unusual hall chair of small dimensions, made in 1894 - the date is carved onto the base of the back. It is possibly a fruitwood and continental, with intricate carving to both sides of the back and the seat top. The colour is good, and there is no damage or restoration to the chair. The turned legs are jointed into the underside of the seat, and the removable back is held on with two wooden wedges (these are replacements), so it would seem that is was made to transport easily. It measures 34.25" to the top of the back, 15" to the seat, and the seat is 15.25" at the widest part and 14" from back to front. A pretty and unusual piece of Victorian furniture.

The solid mahogany seats have a moulded edge with serpentine shaping to the fronts . No losses to the carved edges although one chair has had a minor split reglued in the narrow fret cut area .
