Sheffield 1870 Victorian cut glass silver topped dressing table jar.

Sheffield 1870 very fine quality cut panelled oval glass dressing table jar with heavy weight engraved solid English hallmarked silver top. Star cut base to bottom. Size 3.5 inches high by 3 inches wide. Both the glass and silver are in excellent condition. A wonderful item for dressing table or desk. See listing 895 for a different shaped matching jar from same set.

19thC Victorian cranberry glass solid silver topped double ended cut glass scent bottle.

19th century Victorian unmarked silver repousse topped foliate design cut cranberry glass double ended scent bottle. Lovely panel cut bottle, with one threaded end for smelling salts, and the other hinged end for scent, with interior glass stopper. There is one internal flaw to the glass between the two ends, just visible in last photograph. There is nothing felt to the exterior. In otherwise very good condition, and very collectable.

Victorian Porcelain Scent Bottle

This pretty Victorian porcelain scent or cologne bottle was intended for a lady's dressing table, and was probably manufactured in Germany or Austria around the 1880's. It measures 5" high including the stopper, and has no marks other than impressed numbers 1733 over 39 to the base. It is hand decorated with cerise daisies and sprigs, with just a band of gold around the base and the lid. There is no damage to the bottle or stopper and the gilding and pattern are not worn. This would make an attractive addition to a scent bottle collection or just as a dressing table ornament.

Victorian Cased Glass Enamelled Vase

This is a very nice example of Victorian cased glass, dating from the late 1800's. The main colour is yellow and white with painted and enamelled flowers. The vase is 13.75" high, with no chips or damage, though there is some wear to the gilding, commensurate with its age. but the enamelling is in very good condition, with no rubbing or loss. There is a pontil mark to the base. This vase would make a beautiful and elegant ornament, with or without flowers in it.

Victorian DAVIDSON shell and coral pattern marble vitro-porcelain pressed glass bowl on pedestal.

Victorian Davidson English marble vitro-porcelain, or sometimes called slag pressed glass sugar bowl in shell and coral pattern (circa 1890) in excellent condition, and with impressed Davidson lion mark to bowl. With no damage, but the base rocks a bit. The design of the shells with shades of purple swirling through them look amazing. The handles of the bowl are formed by coral branch design. Size 6 inches wide including handles, or 4.75 inches without handles. 3.75 inches high. Davidson is a famous and collectable maker. A lovely bowl in excellent condition.

London 1896 solid silver hallmarked Victorian pair of cut glass scent bottles.

London 1896 Victorian solid English hallmarked silver topped pair of cut glass matching scent bottles with original stoppers. Hallmarks rubbed but visible under magnification. These are lovely heavily cut glass bottles with star cut bases. Size 6 inches high by 4 inches wide. Small hidden chips to inside bottom of stoppers as pictured, which cannot be seen unless stoppers are removed. Rare to find such a nice large pair, and in very good condition.

19thC Victorian silverplate tantalus by MARTIN AND HALL.

Mid-Victorian silverplate tantalus by excellent makers Martin and Hall, with three original cut glass decanters having lovely step cut necks and unusual square stoppers. The stand, with swing handle, has beautiful beaded trim, and each division is united with applied shells. The whole stands on beaded ball feet. Overall size is 13 inches high by 11.25 inches wide. Each decanter is 10 inches high by 3 inches wide. This is a lovely all original antique tantalus which will be a pleasure to use. It is a fine example in excellent condition.
