Painted Glazed Dresser

19th century fabulous Victorian period curved settee or chaise with original gilt carved frame.

Wonderful 19th century superb Victorian curved settee or chaise with sensuous curves and beautifully carved frame having the original gilding. The graceful curves of the carved wood frame are echoed in the upholstered seat and angled back. Approximate dimensions-72 inches long by 40 inches wide by 34.5 inches high. This has been completely professionally reupholstered in a luxury pewter and gold fabric, and stands on the original casters. A stunning feature for any room, and very comfortable as well. A real talking point, and a rare survivor of the period. Although you may see Victorian show wood settees, you will not often see gilt or curved settees. This would have been originally made for a very fine home. In excellent condition, a very unique and elegant piece.

VICTORIAN OAK DINING TABLE AND CHAIRS

VICTORIAN OAK CARVED TABLE AND SIX OAK CHAIRS. THE TABLE STANDS ON HEAVY TURNED LEGS TERMINATING ON CASTERS. THERE IS ALSO GADROONED CARVING ALL THE WAY AROUND THE EDGE OF THE TABLE. THIS IS SOLID OAK AND IT IS IN SUPER CONDITION. THE SIZE IS APPROX 66"X47".THE CHAIRS ARE OAK FRAMED IN THE 17TH CENTURY STYLE BUT THEY ARE 19TH CENTURY. THE FRONT LEGS BEING TURNED, THERE ARE TWO STRETCHERS TO EACH SIDE TOGETHER WITH A BACK STRETCHER, THEY ALSO HAVE A BOBBIN FRONT STRETCHER. ALL JOINTS ARE SOUND. THEY HAVE BEEN NEWLY UPHOLSTERED IN A RICH BROWN AND CREAM STRIPED VELOUR TYPE OF FABRIC.

VICTORIAN DESK

VICTORIAN MAHOGANY (CUBAN) DESK STANDING ON A PLINTH BASE. THE DESK CONSISTS OF FOUR GRADUATED DRAWERS TO THE LEFT, WITH THE ORIGINAL BRASS INSET HANDLES. THE SIZE IS APPROX 44"LONG, 25"DEEP. 31"HIGH. VERY REASONABLE TRANSPORT COSTS CAN BE ARRANGED.

Huge Victorian Mahogany Dining Table ca 1870 This beautiful antique Victorian mahogany wind out dining table consists of two additional removable leaves, wind out mechanism and winding handle. The top is solid mahogany, has a moulded edge, canted corners and the piece stands on beautiful turned octagonal tapering legs with brown porcelain castors. The top has been beautifully French polished and the piece is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Antique Victorian Mahogany Glazed Bookcase ca 1880 This beautiful antique Victorian mahogany glazed bookcase has a moulded cornice with dentil moulding above a deep flamed mahogany frieze. The piece has two glazed cupboard doors with a brass handle and the interior has three adjustable shelves. The lower section has a rectangular moulded top above two cupboard doors with raised fielded panels and the interior has one removable shelf. The piece stands on a plain plinth, has original backboards, splits into three sections for ease of removals, is a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Dining Chairs Victorian

Set of six (6) Victorian Dining Chairs Circa 1880 - with upholstered & studded backs which are all in excellent condition. The frames are solid mahogany and the legs are fluted and turned with two porcelain casters on the front wheels as per standard Victorian design. The fabric colour is an oyster background with rose pink floral design which again is in excellent condition.
