Large Antique Extending Mahogany Dining Table |
| Offered for sale is this good mid Victorian mahogany telescopic dining table extending to approx 93" x 47" with two leaves. The rectangular top has rounded corners with a double edged moulded lip above turned and reeded supports with original brass and ceramic castors. The extending mechanism works very smoothly and comes complete with original handle. The table has been cleaned and sympathetically repolished whilst retaining its original character. It is in excellent showroom condition and dates to about 1870 and will seat ten to twelve. |

The top is figured brown oak, veneered on mahogany with cross grain mouldings which is a top quality method of construction. It has been restored by ourselves and polished to a beautiful warm colour. 125" x 55". £5800. This matches our set of chairs stock no.CH5206 very well.

| Victorian MAHOGANY extending dining table with three leaves C1860. This D-end table has been restored in our own workshops and polished to a rich mahogany colour. The castors and winding mechanism are original and in good order. One leaf is a later replacement. 122" x 55" - £3900

Beautiful Victorian Drop End Sofa |
| This is a beautiful Victorian three seater sofa with a drop end. It has an iron frame which makes it very heavy, but this also means that it is very strong and solid. To the right hand side is a wooden knob which is pushed in to enable the end to drop down and this mechanism is in good working order. The sofa is button backed and was re-upholstered some years ago in a pale blue material with small white flowers, retaining we believe the original horsehair stuffing. There are some very pale marks on the upholstery, however we have had it professionally cleaned and these are barely noticeable.
