Victorian Burr Ash Bedroom Suite ca 1890 This beautiful Victorian antique burr ash bedroom suite consists of a double wardrobe and dressing table. The wardrobe has a moulded cornice above a deep frieze, a central bevelled mirrored door with original handle, key and working lock. The piece has two moulded panels and a deep drawer below. The interior has a brass hanging rail and hooks. Most of the edges have a beautiful bur walnut band, boxwood and ebony string inlay and a smaller band of satinwood. The cornice has a later adjustment and the piece splits into four sections for ease of removals. The dressing table has an oval bevelled mirror above three small, mahogany lined, jewellery drawers and a shaped shelf. The lower section has a rectangular moulded top above two over two graduating mahogany lined drawers and the piece stands on four tapering legs with brass castors. Again most of the edges have a beautiful bur walnut band, boxwood and ebony string inlay and a smaller band of satinwood. The suite is a golden ash colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Victorian Birds Eye Maple Bedroom Suite ca 1890 This beautiful antique Victorian birds eye maple bedroom suite consists of a double wardrobe, chest of drawers and a dressing table. The suite has been constructed and is labelled J T Scott, Edinburgh and is very rare due its construction of solid maple. The wardrobe has a moulded cornice above two small cupboard doors (the interior has one removable shelf) and three small over one large deep drawer. All the drawers have original brass rococo handles. The piece has its original bevelled full length mirror, the interior has a brass hanging rail and hooks, and the piece splits into four sections for ease of removals. Height 218cms/86inches Width 150cms/59inches Depth 59cms/23inches The chest of drawers has a rectangular moulded top above two over three graduating drawers with original brass rococo handles, stands on beautiful shaped bracket feet and has original backboards, unusually the piece splits into two sections for ease of removals. Maple and Co Victorian rosewood bedroom suite

This stunning Victorian Rosewood Bedroom suite is by Maple and Co of Paris and the quality is superb. Consisting of a large combination wardrobe, dressing table and bedside cabinet it represents excellent value for money and the whole suite has been through our workshops and is in wonderful condition with all the locks working and runners checked. The wardrobe divides into 4 sections for ease of transport, 2 large deep drawers to the base with a full hanging section to the left hand side and 4 drawers with cupboard above to the right. The cornice has wonderful detailing and the swan neck pediment is fretted to match the fret work to the top of the dressing table. The whole is in rosewood and a lovely deep dark rich colour with complementary brass handles of rococco design. We have lined the wardrobe with a cream calico to make sure that the interior is as impressive as the exterior. Height 92" max Width 76" max, the body measuring 72" Depth 23" max, body 21" and internally 19" This whole suite oozes quality and the makers label of Maple and Co can be found on the back of the wardrobe and dressing table. The panels are embelished with acanthus detailing and pretty floral relief work. The depth of this wardrobe makes it ideal for use with modern day hangers, plus the added benefit of a central bevelled door ( a small amount of foxing can be seen on the wardrobe door but nothing detremental, just a few flecks to add to the character of this wonderful piece). The dressing table is full of beautiful detail from the spiral turned slender legs to the upstands which have the feel of Chinese Chippendale along with the lovely fretted pediment to the top of the dressing table. The dressing table itself has 2 deep drawers to the base with 2 useful jewellery drawers to the upstand. Beautifully finished with a matching braid. Featuring a serpentine front & stands on splayed cabriole legs. As seen in detailed picture there is some slight damage to the carved scroll on the top of this chair. The damage is only noticeable if you are aware of it, and on very close inspection.
