Set of Fourteen Victorian Mahogany Balloon Back Chairs ca 1870 This beautiful antique set of fourteen mahogany balloon back dining chairs have curved shaped backs, stand on splayed back legs and have beautiful turned front legs. The chairs have moulded fronts, are a rich red mahogany colour, have a couple of minor old repairs. At some stage the chairs have been re polished and upholstered and so are in very good condition. Set of 8 Antique Mahogany/Walnut Balloon Back Dining Chairs

Offered for sale is fine quality set of eight Victorian balloon back dining chairs in exceptionally good condition. The chairs are a lovely rich brown mellow mahogany / walnut colour. The set of eight mahogany balloon back chairs have a shaped back rail above a carved and pierced centre splat with newly reupholstered overstuffed seats on carved cabriole supports with scroll feet. The balloon back chairs are in excellent showroom condition having been cleaned, revived and waxed along with the seats reupholstered in a gold John Lewis fabric. Whilst listed as mahogany I think they are walnut but will go equally well with either mahogany or walnut. They have a makers brass plate to the underside - GM & HJ Story, Cabinet Makers, London.
