Pair Victorian Mahogany Carver Armchairs ca 1890 This beautiful pair of antique Victorian mahogany carver armchairs have shaped backs with back splats with boxwood string inlay around the edges. The chairs have shaped arms; stand on splayed back legs and tapering front legs. The seats have been later upholstered in red velvet and the chairs are a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
