Antique Victorian Upholstered Howard Armchair ca 1870 This beautiful antique Victorian upholstered armchair attributed to ‘Howard & Sons’ has a shaped buttoned back, swept, buttoned arms and a deep seat. The chair stands on splayed back legs, beautiful turned front legs and white porcelain castors. The chair has been newly upholstered in a neutral open woven fabric with matching piping, the mahogany is a rich / dark mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Early Victorian armchair A beautiful early Victorian armchair dating to Circa 1840, a beautiful example with elegant turned legs and brass casters. The mahogany frame having been traditionally french polished and waxed prior to upholstery commencing. As can be seen in the pictures this lovely comfy chair has been resprung, rewebbed, and the back deep buttoned and upholstered in a beautiful aubergine velvet. Beautiful Green Early Victorian Leather Library armchair A beautiful Early Victorian Library armchair dating to Circa 1850, the serpentine front seat having been reupholstered from a bare frame using traditional materials including horse hair is finished in a lovely green leather. The horseshoe shaped back again in green leather is buttoned and finished in small close nails, having foliate carved mahogany end caps supported by a central pierced foliate carved section flanked by scrolling supports the whole raised on 2 attractive turned and tapering legs with brass bucket casters, the back legs being splayed.
