THE IN AND OUTSWEPT ARMS ARE SUPPORTED BY SHORT FLUTED AND TAPERED PILLARS. THE CHAIR HAS BEEN NEWLY UPHOLSTERED IN ANTIQUE LEATHER.VERY REASONABLE TRANSPORT COSTS CAN BE ARRANGED.

Antique Victorian Upholstered Howard Armchair ca 1870 This beautiful antique Victorian upholstered armchair attributed to ‘Howard & Sons’ has a shaped buttoned back, swept, buttoned arms and a deep seat. The chair stands on splayed back legs, beautiful turned front legs and white porcelain castors. The chair has been newly upholstered in a neutral open woven fabric with matching piping, the mahogany is a rich / dark mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
