Irish Pine Chicken Coup Dresser c1890

This is a single piece antique pine 'chicken coup' dresser with three drawers and two tiers for the chickens each one with two vertical sliding doors. The dresser is fairly extensively 'distressed' on the feet, particularly the right one, and along the bottom moulding. We were told this was due to the hens pecking at it. We purchased this dresser in 1995 for £950 and welcome enquiries. We were told at the time that it was Irish c1890 although we have no evidence to that effect. Height 6' 6" Width 4' 7" Depth (at foot) 20" 01189 402228 claire@strettongraphics.co.uk

The bronze greyhound

The Greyhound. This magnificent decorative hollow cast Bronze Greyhound, possibly attributable to a pupil of Pierre Jules Mene, is sadly without provenance. Nor is there a foundry mark though it’s likely a French piece of late 19th Century, possibly taken from a Susse Freres foundry mould. Mounted on a lovely bronze and red marble base, it is an elegant work reflecting the breed’s long history. Length 51cm, Height 36cm, width 20cm, weight 16kg It has been in our family for a long time and was a gift to my great great grandfather who coursed Greyhounds. Down sizing my accommodation so sadly I no longer have room for it. A perfect gift for a Greyhound lover or would make a great Racing Trophy. Delivery arrangements are negiotable (collection is possible) although delivery costs are not included in the listed price and would be payable by the buyer.
