| Victorian Flamed Mahogany Turtle Top Dining Table ca 1860
This striking Victorian flamed mahogany dining table has a turtle shaped top with mirrored flamed mahogany veneer, moulded edge and a deep frieze. The top tilts and the piece has a brass banjo catch and fittings. The piece stands on a beautiful turned pedestal, quadriform scrolled legs with beautiful carvings, original brass castors, a central turned finial and is of a quality solid mahogany construction. The piece is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good original condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
