SUPERB DERBY SAUCE TUREEN, c1815

A fabulous Derby lidded sauce tureen, decorated with four superb, hand painted named views by Robert Brewer. The base with landscapes of "In Cumberland" and "Near Newark, Nottinghamshire" and the lid with views of "Near Heage" and "Near Twyford." Exquisite arabesque gilding. Stands on four gilt lion's paw feet and each handle with mask terminals. Base excellent condition. Lid has been broken and reglued, but the damage only visible on close inspection.

Pair of Early 1800's Blue and White Tureens

This pair of early 1800's blue and white round tureens are in a very pretty style, decorated with swags , cameos and flowers. They have no makers marks, the patterns are not worn or scratched, and apart from a small repair to the underside of one of the lids, which has had a shallow chip repaired, but which does not show on the outside, and in no way affects the strength or appearance of the tureen, they are in very good condition, and could, if wished be used. The repair is reflected in the price. Both decorative and practical.
