Eighteenth century tripod tea table |
| An exceptionally fine example of a mid-eighteenth century tripod base, tilt-top tea table with bird cage fitment enabling the top to revolve. The colour and density of the mahogany indicate an expensive piece when new, which is confirmed by its perfect proportions and the well-drawn baluster stem the shape of which is repeated in the bird cage columns. This is a true collector's item. Dated to around 1760, it measures 27" diameter and 28" high. |
