William IV mahogany tea / games table ca 1835. This striking William IV mahogany tea / games table has a solid mahogany top with rounded corners. The top swivels around and opens up to double the size, there is a concealed games compartment and the piece stands on a octagonal pedestal with a quadraform base and small turned feet. It is a rich red mahogany colour and has a striking grain, good patina, is in good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. A very good example of a George II period mahogany tea/Side table circa 1750 . Dimensions W=31"/79cm , H=28"/71cm , D=1538cm . This good example from the early mahogany period has an inverted breakfront frieze with cockbeaded drawer . The solid cuban mahogany top folds over in the early tea table design . It stands on fine cabriolet legs with fine carved leaf detail to the tops which end on club feet . Good original condition for over 250 years having minor veneer replacements here and there to frieze . Viewing welcome . Delivery available .

Cuban mahogany tea table of an understated form, typical of the mid 18th century. Lovely overhang to top whilst the legs taper to terminate in block feet. Circa 1760 height 28" width 29.5" depth 14.5"

The top swivels and unfolds to double in size revealing a concealed games compartment. The piece stands on a beautiful shaped, fluted pedestal with a turned socle, quadriform base and beautiful turned feet with original brass castors. The interior of the top is marked due to age and use and the piece is a little chipped around the hinges. The piece is a rich medium / dark rosewood colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
