| Birmingham 1947 rare solid English hallmarked silver tea strainer with most unusual design of pierced strainer mounted on swivel holder, which drains into teapot shaped stand with spout, which can then be poured out!

A novelty tea strainer made in solid silver, so cleverly made. A useful strainer, and perfect for either the tea lover, or a collector of novelty silver.

Rare French Solid Silver Tea Strainer |
| This very pretty and highly collectable solid silver French tea strainer dates from the 1800's.
It is cast, and measures 6" (15.3cm) long and 3.5" (9.3cm) wide, and weighs a substantial 67 grams.
It is decorated with swags, ribbons and husks. There is no damage to it, and the pattern is quite clear. There is a hallmark which is a letter A in a triangle, with what appears to be a decharge mark above it. The place of manufacture is probably Paris, though the mark, which is on the left about an inch above the handle is indistinct, as it is lightly struck.
